Dennis is the founder of WRFA Community Radio for The Arts and a creator of the RadioWorks curriculum at Jamestown High School. In 1978 he led the effort to establish a 10-watt FM radio station at Jamestown Community College (WJWK), serving as its first general manager. Dennis co-founded internationally acclaimed rock group, 10,000 Maniacs and continues to write, record and tour with them. As manager of WRFA he has overseen the creation of programs such as Hispanic Youth Radio, Arts On Fire, The Original Sound of Fury, Community Matters as well as live broadcasts from the Infinity Arts Café, The Mayville Bluegrass Festival, The Bemus Bay Pops Floating Stage and Rolling Hills Radio with Ken Hardley. Along with Steve Shulman he hosts Small Things Considered every weekday morning.
